It's a go, go, go world we live in and whether traveling by car, plane, boat, or train, it can be a little trickier with kids along for the journey. Travel is easier than ever in our modern world and showing our families the many sights and treasures here and abroad is a dream many of us share. For a smooth trip, it's a good idea to bring an arsenal of time-passing toys, books, and activities. Story telling games, magnetic boards, finger puppets, and sticker books are some of our favourites, but when in doubt, a pack of crayons and a pad of paper go a long way. Try engaging older kids with travel journals, simple crafts, and card games, while the really wee ones will benefit from quiet sensory toys and small surprises throughout the journey. When all else fails, a good storybook can calm any meltdowns.
