the best scooters EVER!

Have you seen these kick scooters zipping through your neighborhood yet? We (along with a host of toy reviewers and toy award panels)  think they are the best scooters around right now! These scooters have won numerous awards, such as the Oppenheim Best Toy Award, and it’s easy to see why.

The sturdy, 3-wheeled structure is made with younger kiddos in mind. They come with back friction brakes, and are steered by leaning into the direction you want to head- all easy and intuitive. We carry Kick Scooters in three different styles, for all ages!

The popular Mini Kick Scooter is a great one to start off with. Recommended for ages 3-5, it is light-weight and has a short handle, to make it easier for smaller hands to navigate. It’s low to the ground and large enough for both feet making it easy for riders to hop on and off. Parents will love the Mini Kick too for its ability to get the whole family moving together. When the scooting is over, its light weight, compact construction makes it easy to tote along. This is a design that puts the young rider in control as they enjoy the feeling of ‘surfing the sidewalks’!

For even younger ones, try the 3-in-1 Mini Kick Seat. We think this is the coolest thing to happen to ride ons for toddlers in a a long long time. It transforms from a ride on for toddlers to a scooter for little ones to a scooter for kids up to 6 years old! Here’s how it works. The scooter comes with a removable seat and two handles that can be swapped out. Start off with the easy-to-grip circular handle and the seat to make a great ride-on toy for toddlers. Then, take the seat off to turn it into a smaller Kick scooter. Finally, swap the circular handle for a taller T-bar handle, to turn the scooter into a Mini Kick. A 3 in 1 riding toy that can grow with your child for years to come is an great investment. Check out the video of all three stages of the scooter in action below.

The Maxi Kick scooter is a larger version of the Mini Kick, for ages 6 – 10, with a taller handle and a larger weight limit. Its tough fiberglass reinforced flex deck, aluminum steering column and high-quality polyurethane wheels will stand up to the toughest riders and offer tons of scootering fun. With a Maxi Kick, they’ll be cruising and carving turns like a skateboarder but without all the falls.

We first saw these scooters on a trip to Brooklyn, where we noticed every kid on a scooter seemed to be on THISscooter. Seriously, every one. So we started asking people about them. Parents and kids alike were happy to tell why this scooter beats out all the others – the intuitive steering, the sturdy construction, the sleek design. Time and time again, folks were very happy with their scooters. We had to bring them in!

If you are in the neighborhood, come in and try it out. We’ve been watching a lot of happy kids scooting around the store! Check out the videos below to see them in action.
