DIY cascarones. So pretty!
Cascarones are an Easter tradition from Mexico that we think is just the best. Hollowed-out egg shells are dyed and then filled with confetti. Hide them just like hard-boiled eggs, and when they are found, break them over a friend’s head! It’s considered good luck to have the egg cracked on your head; try making a wish while it happens!
Rebecca at Oh Happy Day has a great step-by-step tutorial to walk you through making your own Cascarones for your Easter celebration. It’s fun just looking at all the pretty pictures.
You can fill them with confetti, glitter, or even bright cereal. Whatever your heart desires (that you don’t mind sweeping up later!).
